The Role

Watford Borough Council is seeking to fill a position that will assist the Strategic Sustainability Manager in implementing the Environmental Strategy and its associated delivery plans. This role will also focus on embedding sustainability within both the Council and the wider Watford community. Currently, the Council is developing its second delivery plan for 2025-2027, and this position will play a vital role in executing that plan.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Manage specific elements of sustainability work.
• Support the overall sustainability efforts led by other teams within the Council.
• Engage in various ad hoc projects related to sustainability.

This position is particularly well-suited for recent graduates looking to gain valuable experience in the sustainability sector.

What We Offer

• Salary: £28,322 – £30,257 per annum.
• Contract Type: Fixed-term contract until March 2027.
